Annual Meeting 2013

Annual Project Meeting 2013

Wednesday 24. – Friday 26. April 2013

at University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK

Start: Wednesday 24 April at 08:30

Finish: Friday 26 April at 13:00

Travel to UEA and Norwich:

Norwich is easily accessible by train from Northern Europe, with regular train services, and a two-hour journey from London and five hours from Paris and Brussels. London Stansted is the nearest major airport (65 miles) and there is a regular bus service from Stansted to Norwich city centre which takes a couple of hours. Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are rather further away. The airport bus also operates between these most distant airports, the University of East Anglia and Norwich city centre, but it can be a long and tedious journey. The alternatives in both cases are to take the train to central London (115 miles from Norwich), the underground train to Liverpool Street Station and a train to Norwich, or to hire a car. The London to Norwich journey time is approx. 2 hours. Norwich Airport is by far the most convenient option because it is just a short taxi ride away from the University. It can be an expensive destination, but for international flights please do consider flying with KLM (and KLM partners e.g. Air France and North West) to Amsterdam and get a connecting flight to Norwich. There are some really good deals available with KLM where the cost of the Amsterdam-Norwich leg of the journey is very low. Ferries also operate between Harwich and the Hook of Holland, Hamburg and Esbjerg.
